  • Among the weight transmitters, DAT 11 is the fastest to receive, convert and transmit data thanks to a more performing A/D converter. Thanks to its small size and compact design, the DAT 11 weight transmitter can be inserted in any work environment without taking up too much space. DAT 11 is a customizable product that has a mechanical keyboard with a programmable key block from which it is possible to manually set the weight filter with predetermined values or with individually adjustable parameters. The DAT 11 weight transmitter features removable screw terminal blocks, selectable logic input function, voltage or current analog input, unipolar or bipolar analog output, RS485 junction box connection and peak hold function for dynamic measurements. DAT 11 is a product in step with the times. It complies with EN45501, and the Fieldbus data are updated to 125Hz. Compared to traditional weight transmitters, DAT 11 contains a USB port which allows the firmware update, the connection to the Optimation software and the connection to TESTER 1008, which facilitates calibration and troubleshooting. DAT 11 is able to perform various calibrations: "Dead Weight", "Theoretical" and "Data Sheet". In addition, it presents the linearization of the weight calibration on 5 points. Developed specifically by Pavone Weighing Systems and installed free of charge in the weighing instrument, the Optimation software allows you to simplify and perform various operations such as configuring the instrument and correctly and safely saving data through the DATALOGGER function.

  • The ATEX MC 315 weight indicator, designed and manufactured by Pavone Weighing Systems in accordance with Directive 2014/34/EU and in compliance with EN 60079-0:2018, EN 60079-11:2012, EN 60079-26:2015, is a weighing instrument with ATEX certification that can be used in environments with potentially explosive atmospheres, particularly in zones ATEX 1, 21 and in zones ATEX 2, 22 (1 and 2 for gases, 21 and 22 for dust). The low energy used by the weight indicator is not sufficient to trigger explosions neither with electrical sparks nor with excessive temperatures (class T4), thus making the use of the ATEX MC 315 weight indicator safe in areas with risk of explosion. The fiber optic connection of the ATEX MC 315 weight indicator allows the necessary information to be brought to the safe area without Zener barriers to obtain the voltage or current analogue output via the S318 interface. As an alternative to the RS232 and RS485 ports, Pavone Weighing Systems provides the following Fieldbuses: Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet IP, Ethercat.

ATEX certification: innovation and safety at the top of the standards

The production of weight indicators has so far mainly consisted in standard products placed in boxes flameproof.

 

ATEX MC 315 makes a step forward creating a new generation weight indicator since it has been designed on the basis of the ATEX standards, with internal cards that completely comply with directive ATEX 2014/34/UE (entered into force on 16/04/2016). ATEX MC 315 can be used in areas ATEX 1, 21 and in areas ATEX 2, 22 (1 and 2 for gases, 21 and 22 for dusts).

 

The power supply is low energy (100 ÷ 250 Vac) in order to avoid triggering explosions with electrical sparks or with excessive temperatures (class T4). This makes it a safe tool in areas with danger of explosion.

 

In the realization of the weight indicator ATEX MC 315, Pavone Weighing Systems has met the most recent norms. In so doing, it has guaranteed a digital weight indicator that is longer lasting and safer than the ones still on the market. Pavone Weighing Systems’ technicians have worked alongside expert consultants following the ATEX regulations on components, materials, modus operandi and assembly up to the conclusion of the long and complex procedure that led to the Bureau Veritas certification, a quality certification body in charge of analysing and certifying the design and the manufacture. The protection methods used have obtained the EU Type Examination Certificate relatively to the design and the Notification of Production Quality (as regards the manufacture).

Working in environments with flammable gases, vapors and mists (zone 1), the Pavone Weighing Systems weight indicator can be interfaced with load cells installed in zone 0. The IIC mark makes ATEX MC 315 suitable for environments with the presence of hydrogen, acetylene and carbon disulfide. In environments with flammable dusts and fuels (zone 21), the weight indicator can interface with load cells installed in zone 20. The IIIC mark makes it suitable for working with conductive powders.

 

ATEX MC 315 is therefore an intrinsically safe ATEX instrument that responds to the most current international certifications. ATEX standards are harmonized on ISO 9001: 2015 standards.

  • MCT 1302 Batch meets various needs in the weighing field: from simple management of level thresholds to complicated dosing procedures. The MCT 1302 Batch weighing solution is able to totalize the dosed weights divided by recipe and to store up to 100 different recipes with 20 steps.
