The laser distance sensors of the optoNCDT 1021/1101/1151 series need a special reflector on the target, the reflection properties of which are matched to the sensor. The use of this reflector makes possible measuring distances up to 250 m and significantly higher accuracies in comparison with laser scanners for measuring ranges less than 10 metres.

The optoNCDT ILR series has very compact dimensions using a completely integrated controller. The laser distance sensors of the optoNCDT 1020/1100/1150 series are designed for direct measurements without additional reflector for distances up to 10 metres.

Compact and reliable laser distance sensor                                                                            Product Technology

 
Laser distance sensors optoNCDT ILR103x/LC1 are designed for fast displacement measurement between 0.2 and 15m or rather max to 50m with reflector. The fast response time of 10ms is typical for this series. With buttons at the quite small housing a Teach-In or the assignment of switching points can be done quickly. Tasks of this sensors are fill level measurement, positioning or length measurements.

Interior wall inspection of bore holes

 
The sensor system boreCONTROL for the interior wall inspection of bore holes, depressions, constrictions and notches are allocated to the product group confocal sensors. The precisely loaded sensor lance is rotated by a servo motor and dips into the bore hole using a linear unit. In doing so, the measurement can be effected gradually or spirally. The miniaturized confocal sensor with only 3.3mm in its diameter can be already applied for bore holes from a diameter of 4mm. Similarly to the linear standard systems, the confocal technology is suitable for various surfaces. Since the system does not require any reference points during the measurement, edges and steps can be measured absolutely.
 
To achieve the best possible accuracy, Micro-Epsilon has developed a unique, patented technology for optical temperature compensation. Compensation is achieved dynamically in real time, enabling high measurement precision.

The new confocal chromatic confocalDT IFS 2403 measurement sensor combines the benefits of two successful confocal design concepts. With an external diameter of 8mm, this sensor is as compact as the confocalDT IFS 2402 miniature sensor series. However, due to its larger digital aperture, it can receive significantly more reflected light than the smaller 4mm diameter version.
