Displacement Sensors | Displacement Conditioning Electronics

The electrical performance of an analogue displacement transducer is only as good as the signal conditioning allows. Solartron Metrology has used its considerable experience to produce signal conditioning, numerical displays and controllers that enhance the performance of its analogue transducers and ensure simple and reliable connection to instrumentation and control systems.

Analogue Gauging Probe

Solartron Metrology’s analogue gauging probes and special sensors use an inductive sensor to measure the position of the probe tip. The sensors are available in both LVDT (linear variable differential transformer or half bridge configuration). Solartron also provide a range of conditioning electronics that allow the user to interface to the probes. Solartron have a vast range of probes to suit all applications.

Analogue Measuring Probe

Alongside the highly successful range of Digital Transducers for precise measurement of parts in manufacturing, Solartron also offer a range of displacement sensors for position control in industry, the laboratory and test environments. Nearly all of these sensors can be integrated with the flexible Orbit® Measurement Network or provided with integral voltage or current outputs.

Displacement Sensors | Overview of LVDT Displacement Sensor

Solartron Metrology is a world leader in the innovation and manufacture of precision digital and analogue displacement sensors and associated instrumentation.

The culmination of Solartron’s 50+ years of experience manufacturing LVDT displacement sensors is a deep understanding of the need to match the performance of the sensor precisely to the demands of the application and environment. The cost advantage of matching the best sensor to the requirement is clear, this can only be done with a company that has both an extensive range of sensors, accessories and electronics in conjunction with a philosophy of designing “custom products” to specific requirements.

Solartron precision measurement solutions perform vital tasks in a range of diverse industries including aerospace, pharmaceuticals, medical., power generation, oil and gas, paper making, civil engineering, tunnelling, semiconductor manufacture, mining, glass making, water treatment, chemical processing, steel production.
