►Operating Principles

This absolution type linear displacement sensor uses a magnetostrictive wire. The magnetostrictive wire is built in the stem and a magnet is in the float. The float position is detected from the propagation time of the ultrasonic vibrations coming from the magnetostrictive wire, and the analog output in proportion to the position is output.
