BMS SERIES

BMS is a bubbling system for level detection based on the measurement of hydrostatic pressure caused by the liquid contained in the tank.

The working principle is founded on the measure of the pressure value needed to maintain a constant and regular air flow through a pipe probe open in the bottom and submerged into the liquid. At any level variation of the liquid in the tank corresponds a variation of the hydrostatic pressure applied on the air outgoing from the probe pipe; these pressure variations are precisely detected by the 27M P/I converter and converted into a standard 4÷20 mA electric signal.

Because only the stationary dip tube and the purge gas come in contact with the liquid, this system is ideal for applications involving hazardous locations or liquids which are highly corrosive, viscous, hot, (molten metal), explosive, slurry type or foodstuff. In addition, the electronic output from the BMS is compatible with almost all analogue instrumentation, including local and remotely-located indicators, computers, data loggers, recorders and controllers.

Features and benefits of a bubbling liquid level system:

• High accuracy and stability

• Unaffected by foam and vapours

• Excellent for hazardous, high temperature, corrosive or wastewater management

PR3 regulator keeps constant the bubbling air flow at any level value assuring high precision measurement.
